Top 5 HDD Defragment Software

A disk defragmenter is a key toolkit element for keeping your PC running optimally. Disk fragmentation occurs through normal everyday use of your PC; over time your system becomes unable to store related data on your disk in a sequential (contiguous) manner, and must “fragment” files across different physical locations on your hard drive. This increases the number of times your hard drive must spin (or “seek”), which slows down the process of reading and writing files. Defragmentation software compresses files and free space back into contiguous blocks. We have introduced two free defragment software before. Use PerfectDisk to better defrag your hard drive

A Better defrag PerfectDisk 10 is a nifty new program that I’ve been testing out extensively over the past few days. This program far exceeded any hopes I formerly had of any defrag software. PerfectDisk 10 Professional is the version I’ve been working with, but each edition does virtually the same thing, with the only major exceptions being various versions are designed for larger servers, businesses, etc.  When I first installed PerfectDisk, it gave the options of running the defrag on a certain time schedule (whether I was using the computer or not), only when the computer is showing the screen saver, or when … Continue reading
