Many Windows 10 users feedback the similar issue that C drive is full even if they create it as large as 50GB. It is easy to understand, many types of files write into C: drive continuously, if you do not free up disk space regularly, C drive runs out of space quickly. In this situation, you can transfer unused space from D to C drive, and then there will be plenty of space in C drive again.
Many people want to do this, because nobody likes to start from scratch to recreate drives and reinstall Windows. However, there are still some questions asked by these people, for example:

In this article, I'll introduce how to move free unused space from D to C drive in Windows 10 computer with safe partition software.
Use safe partition software
As people worry, some disk partition software could cause system/partition damage and data loss. These unreliable software are called data killer by the people that have experience of computer disaster. When resizing and move partitions, all parameters of related disk, partition and files should be updated correctly, but some software internal error could cause part of parameters failed to be updated. In that case, system and/or partition(s) will be destroyed. In fact, besides software internal error, some hardware issue such as power failure (especially for laptop) cause damage, too.
Thus, you'd back up and use safe partition tool.

How to move free space from D to C
It is very easy to transfer space from D to C drive in Windows 10, you just need to click, drag and drop on the disk map. After shrinking partition D, part of unused space will be converted to Unallocated, then move Unallocated space to C drive. It will be converted to unused space again.

Steps to move space from D to C in Windows 10:
Step 1: Right click drive D: and select "Resize/Move Volume", drag left border towards right in the pop-up window (or enter an amount directly 1024MB=1GB).
20GB unused space is converted to Unallocated on the left side.
Step 2: Right click drive C: and select "Resize/Move Volume" again, drag right border towards right.
Then Unallocated space is moved into C drive.
This software works in virtual mode and real disk space won't be changed until click Apply on top left to execute.
Move space from other disk
If partition C and D are in different disks, for example: C is in Disk 0, D is in Disk 1, the method above is invalid. No partitioning software can transfer space to C drive from other separated disk.
